Mesodyne Inc. announced that John LaBelle has been appointed into a newly-created Chief Growth Officer role, effective July 1.

The Space and Defense Innovation team awarded Mesodyne Inc. ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Best in Category’ at its Ignite Competition. The Awards focus on the critical technology categories for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.

The U.S. Army selected Mesodyne Inc. as a winner of the Army XTech Prime Competition. The 15 winners of this prize will be invited to submit proposals for $1.9M Direct to Phase II contracts with the U.S. Army. This funding will enable Mesodyne to continue to advance the LightCell™.

Mesodyne Inc. won the xTech SBIR Autonomy Competition, which recognizes ‘world-class’ technologies being developed commercially that may benefit the Department of Defense (DoD) in the autonomy space. The competition integrates non-traditional innovators into the DoD Science and Technology ecosystem and provides expertise and feedback that enables companies to accelerate, mature, and transition their technologies. Winners of this prize will be invited to submit proposals for $250K Phase I contracts with the U.S. Army.

Mesodyne Inc. was selected by Intel to participate in their internationally renowned Ignite Program, which provides seed funding to tech start-ups. Launched in 2019, the mission of the program is to fuel a global ecosystem of tech innovation to industry-defining companies, like Mesodyne. Winners participate in a 12-week immersive acceleration program. More than 300 companies applied and only 10 were selected for participation by a panel of over 130 expert judges.
