Mesodyne advancing to NATO DIANA’s Mission Track
SOMERVILLE, Mass. – May 29, 2026 – Mesodyne today announced it has been awarded a €300,000 contract to accelerate testing and adoption of the LightCell Tactical Power Generator across NATO Member Countries through the NATO DIANA Mission Track Programme. This strategic effort will help Mesodyne deliver prototypes in support of broader NATO adoption, which directly enhances NATO multinational interoperability and operational energy resilience across member country militaries.
Over the next year, Mesodyne will focus on the testing, system integration, and delivery of prototypes of its LightCell Tactical Power Generator to NATO militaries. The overarching objective is to deliver expeditionary power generation systems in support of multinational defense which are compliant with rigorous requirements for mobility, interoperability, ruggedization and signature management, particularly for operations in austere environments.
Mesodyne will leverage its advanced thermophotovoltaic-based power generation technology - the LightCell - to deliver portable, scalable, and reliable energy solutions. The LightCell will enhance multinational cooperation with its multifuel capability, and support expeditionary and mutually reinforcing deployments with its compact, quiet, expeditionary power solutions boasting increased energy density, and reduced acoustic and thermal emissions compared to current systems. Ultimately, this advanced power generation capability aims to ensure mission survivability, operational flexibility, and enhanced sustainability in austere environments.
