Dr. Veronika Stelmakh is the co-founder and CEO of Mesodyne, and leads the team delivering the groundbreaking LightCell technology to military and commercial users. She also serves as the Chair of the company’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Stelmakh is an expert in photonics, nanofabrication, and high temperature materials. She holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her postdoctoral work was completed at the MIT Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies, where she developed a practical photonic crystal selective emitter for thermophotovoltaic applications. This technology ultimately became the foundation for Mesodyne’s LightCell concept and resulted in a world record benchtop demonstration. Prior to graduate studies, Dr. Stelmakh worked in the power electronics industry.
